MYERS-BRIGGS TYPE INDICATIOR ®

Understanding Your Personal Style

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® is a personality assessment that reveals our in-born personality preferences.  We naturally express these preferences in the ways we relate to the world within us and around us.

Using the MBTI® as a tool with business executives, I have seen first-hand the immediate effectiveness of this personality-based approach to improving relationships, creating healthy teams, increasing job satisfaction and performance.

Understanding our own preferences and how our daily life and work reflects our preferences leads to greater understanding of others and how to overcome differences.

Based on Carl G. Jung's theory of psychological type, introduced in the 1920's, the MBTI® instrument was developed by Isabel Briggs Myers thirty years later as a tool that makes available the insights provided by years of clinical research.  She proposed that seemingly random variations in behavior are actually orderly and consistent when viewed in light of the individual's innate preferences.  For the past 40 years the MBTI® has proven to be the most widely used personality type instrument as millions of people worldwide use the instrument every year.
